This course is awareness-level only. Hand splinting is a clinical procedure that requires formal training and certification. Staff are not permitted to fabricate, fit, adjust, or modify splints under any circumstances.

If a splint appears damaged, uncomfortable, or improperly positioned, staff must report it immediately rather than attempting to correct it.
